Somerville price comparison: What $700,000 buys around the city now

The price point $700,000—or, more precisely, just below $700,000—is a busy one in Somerville.

What does it buy as July starts sliding toward August? Our latest Curbed Comparisons takes a look.

↑ We begin in Winter Hill, where Unit 2 at 466-468 Medford Street recently chopped its price $25,000 to $699,999.

The 1,199-square-foot duplex with two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms also comes with one off-street parking space. The condo fee is $175.

↑ Unit 1 in the same Medford Street building has also chopped its price significantly of late: In this case, by $50,000.

The 1,456-square-foot two-bedroom, one-and-half-bathroom is also a duplex with one off-street parking space. And it also wants $699,999; and the condo fee is $175.

↑ Unit 103 at 353 Summer Street in the Davis Square area is part of an under-construction development slated to have 29 units total and to be finished early next year.

This particular one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom spread will run to 826 square feet. The $699,900 tag includes garage parking. The condo fee is $435.90.

↑ Now to East Somerville, where the seller of Unit 3 at 60 Tufts Street is offering to cover six months of the $523.97 condo fee.

The 1,489-square-foot one-bedroom, one-and-half-bathroom is retailing for $679,000 following a $20,000 price-chop. It includes in-unit W/D and one off-street parking spot.

↑ We end in the tiny Ten Hills neighborhood in northern Somerville, where the price on Unit 1 at 68 Fremont Street has been coming steadily down since May. It was once asking more than $697,000, but now wants $659,900.

The 1,610-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom—the product of a conversion completed this year—comes with a private yard. The condo fee is $175.
