Boston rent comparison: What $2,250 rents around the city now

Including in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Beacon Hill

The busiest leasing period in Boston—late August/early September—is almost upon us. What does the busy price point $2,250 a month command around the city? Our latest Curbed Comparisons finds out.


Unit 2 at 37 Eden Street in Charlestown’s northern reaches runs to 850 square feet and contains one bedroom and one bathroom. There is also access to a shared patio and to laundry in the building’s basement.

↑ In-unit laundry and a private balcony are included in the rent for Unit 2 at 40 West Eagle Street in East Boston’s Eagle Hill area. The two-bedroom, one-bathroom runs to 1,200 square feet.

Unit 2 at 37 Beacon Street is right across from Boston Common in Beacon Hill. It’s a 445-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom with access to a shared roof deck.

↑ In Dorchester’s Ashmont area, the 1,200-square-foot Unit 2 at 109 Fuller Street comes with two decks—front and back—and laundry and storage in the building’s basement. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom.

Unit 1 at 38 Highland Park in Roxbury is a 900-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom. It has an outdoor deck, and the rent covers a parking space (the only selection herein with such a feature).
