The late Boston-area architect Irving Salsberg designed the midcentury modern at 85 Baldpate Road in Newton’s Oak Hill.
The house went up in 1956, and only one family has owned it since. That family is now selling the 2,556-square-foot expanse with two and a half bathrooms and the potential for four bedrooms for $1.8 million through Compass.
True to form, the house is open and bright; but it could use some work, which the listing readily makes clear. What’d you think?
