Developer Related Beal is near a deal to purchase a 6.5-acre section of parking lot between A Street and the Fort Point Channel in Fort Point that services Procter & Gamble’s Gillettte razor factory, according to reports January 29.
The site has been on the market since late last year, and is of course located in a particularly desirable area of Boston for new development. Procter & Gamble hopes to close a deal for the parking lot in the spring, per the Globe’s Tim Logan.
Otherwise, little is known about the negotiations between the Gillette parent and Related Beal, which is probably best-known locally right now for a Kenmore development that includes plans for the iconic Citgo sign.
The negotiations could also fall through. Stay tuned.
