Newton Center shingle Victorian with five fireplaces on sale for $1.65 million

The 13-room, 4,509-square-foot shingle-style Victorian at 34 Eldredge Street in Newton’s Newtown Center dates from 1880, and retains some of that provenance in touches such as the the five fireplaces, the moldings, and the floors.

The seven-bedroom house’s biggest selling point, though, is probably that location. It’s right off the Massachusetts Turnpike and near Farlow Park as well as a handful of schools.
