The bones of the townhouse at 81 Warren Street in Charlestown’s gas light district date from 1808. The house reflects that age in its flooring, its seven (!) fireplaces, and the stone walls in its basement.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom is retailing now through Coldwell Banker’s Grace Bloodwell for $1.8 million, or $644 a square foot. That might be seen as a relative steal in today’s Boston housing market.
And the tag includes garage parking two blocks away as well as rights to a cobblestone garden and to share a landscaped yard with two other residences.
