The veritable castle at 152 Waban Avenue in Newton’s Waban village went up just this year, and is on sale now for $5.2 million.

The Queen Anne-style pile runs to 7,807 square feet on a more than 15,000-square-foot lot. It comes with six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms as well as bells and whistles such as a theater with a 123-inch screen, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar, and an indoor-outdoor fireplace (and outdoor kitchen, for that matter).

In other words, 152 Waban is high end even for Newton. Keller Williams has the listing, which, at $666 a square foot, might still be considered a steal regionally. Townhouses in downtown Boston, for instance, went for an average of $704 in the third quarter of 2019. Have a look.
