What $2,500 rents in South Boston now

It looks like the sum rents at least one bedroom in enclaves such as Telegraph Hill and City Point, though not much else

Telegraph Hill

Unit 1 at 54 H Street is a duplex starting on the first floor, and includes one bedroom and one and a half bathrooms in its 925 square feet. There are also two private outdoor spaces—one on each floor.

D Street corridor

A private deck comes with Unit 2 at 227 West Third Street as does one bedroom and one bathroom. The renovated unit runs to 500 square feet.

Dorchester Avenue corridor

A shared roof deck is part of the package with the 800-square-foot Unit 1A at 99 West Fourth Street, which includes two bedrooms and one bathroom. Hot water is included in the rent; and the owner is currently working on updating the bathroom and the kitchen as well as repainting the entire spread.

Dorchester Avenue corridor

Unit 1 at 16 Emerson Street is a condo for rent that includes a private deck. It runs to 600 square feet, and includes one bedroom and one bathroom. The $2,475 in rent covers basement storage too.

City Point

Free laundry in the building comes with Unit 2 at 3 Grace Court, which is asking $2,450 a month. The 650-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom is the product of a recent renovation.
