In a Boston where $677,500 is the median sales price for condos, $500,000 seems like a pretty sweet deal.
That is the asking price for Unit 35 at 950 Broadway, a collection of loft-style condos in Chelsea, one of Boston’s northern neighbors. The city has long been much less expensive than its larger neighbor, so the $500K asking—which pencils out to $359 a square foot— should not be a surprise.
What does it buy in Chelsea? Unit 35 is capacious, with 20-foot ceilings and an open floorplan. The condo includes one bedroom and one bathroom as well as access to a shared deck. The tag also covers heated garage parking.
We’re guessing a condo like this a few miles to the south would cost tens of thousands more, if not hundreds. What’d you think?
