The 16-room, 6,771-square-foot townhouse at 208 Beacon Street in Back Bay dates from 1863. Its current owner—and seller—advised CMA Architects & Engineers on a major renovation that left the place looking like new.

The house, which includes six floors of living space plus a roof deck and a loggia that leads to a two-car garage, has been on sale since late January. Its price is now $12,900,000 through Douglas Elliman and Gibson Sotheby’s following a recent $600,000 price-chop.

There are other touches such as 14-foot ceilings in spots, an elevator to all six levels, and an au pair/in-law suite. What’d you think?
