The nine-room, 2,533-square-foot Victorian at 27 Columbus Avenue in Somerville’s Union Square area dates from 1878, following the subdivision of a sizable estate.
Herbert and Julia Gustin, who apparently made a mint selling produce at Faneuil Hall, purchased this particular lot and built the house that’s now on sale through Kris Lippi for $1.7 million.
It contains one and a half bathrooms, the potential for five bedrooms, and parking for two on the driveway. The house is also near the future Union Square stop of the Green Line.
