The 1,478-square-foot house at 2 Beaver Street in Beacon Hill’s Flat of the Hill area hosts one of the most notable exteriors in the neighborhood. Its squat, square, stucco shape and appearance pops amid a streetscape of blocker, bigger buildings.
Architect Graham Gund oversaw the house’s 1983 redesign, which left it with a contemporary, airy interior that includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There’s also a sizable outdoor deck overlooking the street.
The house’s pedigree and location (and the fact that it comes with a garage parking space) mean it does not come cheap now that it’s on the sales market for the first time: 2 Beaver is asking $2.9 million, or nearly $2,000 a square foot, through the Bennett & Youssoufian Team at Campion & Company.
