Sizable Dorchester house clocks in at under $600,000

Look at that, eh? It’s rare to find a decent single-family in Boston proper in that price range

It’s not easy finding a bonafide house in Boston proper for under the city’s median single-family price of around $600,000. Or it’s not easy to find one that doesn’t need a lot of fixing-up.

But then here comes 37 Hillsdale Street in Dorchester’s Cedar Grove area. The 100-year-old house runs to 1,288 square feet, and includes three bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s also a deck out back and private yardage all around.

The rarity is asking $589,999 through Dot Collection. What’d you think?
