Renovated Victorian in Roxbury with five bedrooms asks $779,000

The renovated Victorian at 36 Gaston Street in Roxbury is that rare thing in Boston: a detached single-family of some size and with a price that isn’t that astronomical for the city.

The eight-room, 2,576-square-foot house is asking $779,000 through Coldwell Banker. A recent Greater Boston Association of Realtors report pegged the median sales price for single-families in Boston proper at $625,000. So $779K for something this size is not that outlandish.

The house dates from 1910, and includes five bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. There is also a deck and a backyard, never mind new finishes due to said renovations. What’d you think?
