What $2,250 a month rents in Boston

The sum can nab sizable spreads in neighborhoods such as Dorchester, Allston, and Roxbury—but in other places it’s a tight fit

Beacon Hill

Unit 6F at 21 Beacon Street, right near the Massachusetts State House, comes fully furnished. The 500-square-footer includes one bedroom and one bathroom. The $2,250 rent also covers wifi.

Dorchester

A private back porch comes with the 1,332-square-foot Unit 1 at 42 Mt. Ida Road in Dot’s Meeting House Hill area. The apartment also includes three bedrooms and one bathroom, and there’s laundry in the building.

Fenway

Unit 52 at 74 Fenway is a two-room studio running to 450 square feet.

Allston

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom Unit 3 at 46 Riverdale Street includes a porch. It’s 750 square feet, and the floors are new.

Roxbury

Unit 1 at 27 Lambert Street in Roxbury’s Fort Hill area runs to 1,200 square feet.
