Downtown Boston townhouses might’ve been averaging more than $1.79 million by the end of 2019, but such properties just beyond the city core can go for much less—and still look as shiny and inviting.

Case in point: The renovated townhouse at 18-20 Northbourne Road, just down Hyde Park Avenue from the Orange Line’s Forest Hills stop. Unit 18 runs to 1,300 square feet, and includes two bedrooms as well as one and a half bathrooms.

The spread—on sale now through Taylor House Realty for $629,000—also includes a deck and a backyard. What’d you think?
