The most affordable single-families in Boston—relatively speaking—are farther out from the city’s downtown. Case in point: This three-level, three-bedroom bungalow in West Roxbury.

The house near the Dedham-Boston line is asking $569,000 through Insight Realty for its 2,403 square feet, which also includes three bathrooms—one full—and as much woodwork as anyone could hope to own. There’s also a multi-level deck and a small yard out back.

Just how inexpensive (again, relatively) is $569,000 for a single-family in Boston? The median sales price for a detached single-family in the city was $625,000 in December, based on closed deals.
