It’s not big—just 415 square feet—but the West Second Street condo might just be the perfect Boston starter home

Despite a general rise in prices in recent years, there are still plenty of starter home options to be had in South Boston. A prime example: The newly listed Unit 203 at the Foundry building at 320 West Second Street.

It’s asking $420,000 for its 415 airy, light-drenched square feet. There is one bedroom and one bathroom as well as central air and access to what the iCare Realty listing rightly describes as “a walker’s paradise” in that area of Southie.

So it’s a matter then of trading space for location and austere functionality. Would you?
