The 30-year-old spread is but five rooms, but it makes the most of the space through its volume

The townhouse at 7 McTernan Street in Cambridge’s Cambridgeport enclave is but five rooms. But it makes the most of that space with volume. That is, the townhouse features cathedral ceilings and a loft in one of its two bedrooms.

There is also one and a half bathrooms and the potential for another one via already existent plumbing. The 1,462-square-foot house also has a fenced-in patio and a parking spot.

As for the price, it’s not cheap (this is Cambridge after all): $1,298,000—or $875 a square foot—through Compass. Still, that might be considered a steal by the standards of downtown Boston only a couple of miles away. Might be.
