The 1,724-square-foot Victorian at 22 Tower Street in Somerville’s Spring Hill comes with four bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms as well as a backyard and a two-car garage.

The house dating from 1905 also has a third (heated) level with two bedrooms that could use some work—a fact that the Coldwell Banker listing makes no bones about: It “awaits your finishing touches.”

The house is retailing for $899,900. The median sales price for detached single-families in the Boston area in December was $605,000, according to a report from the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and research firm the Warren Group. So 22 Tower falls on the upper end, but it is at a prime location within one of the region’s more coveted municipalities.
