The average sales price per square foot for a detached single-family in Boston was $413 in January, according to the latest figures from the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. That makes the turreted colonial at 586 Park Street in Dorchester seem almost like a steal.

The house has some serious scope to it. It’s 3,100 square feet, with six bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. There is a large formal dining room and an eat-in kitchen as well. The house also has four parking spaces.

That alone might justify a hefty price tag. As it is, the renovated 586 Park is asking $799,000—or $257 a square foot—through eXp Realty’s Alexander Lisek. The house last traded pre-renovation in late 2017 for $325,000.
