Colliers International, the brokerage planning the 20-acre, 1.1 million-square-foot Hood Park development in Charlestown, has proposed adding a 4,000-seat concert venue on the ground-floor of a planned five-story garage.
If the plans get the necessary green lights, the venue could open in two years. It would be the largest indoor facility of its kind in Boston, and would host shows up to 150 nights out of the year.
It’s the latest twist for Hood Park, which is a redevelopment of the old H.P. Hood and Sons site.
Developer Catamount Management Corp. started construction in October on the mostly commercial development’s first residential component: A 177-unit apartment building at 480 Rutherford Avenue.
