Developer New Urban Partners wants to replace a parking lot and a triple-decker at 9-11 Burney Street in Mission Hill with a six-story complex with 31 apartments.
That is according to recently filed plans with the city that also call for a 2,853-square-foot public plaza-slash-lane.
The privately maintained space would be accessible from Burney and Carmel streets, and would provide frontage as well as outdoor seating for current restaurants and a future 1,900-square-foot one in the new building itself, per the Herald’s Donna Goodison.
The plans also include six garaged parking spaces and a community room. Apartments would range from studios to two-bedrooms, and four units would be designated as affordable. Stay tuned.
