The $400 million redevelopment of Arsenal Mall in Watertown’s East End is expected to start opening in late 2019, according to developers Boylston Properties and Wilder. A partial opening in 2019 had been expected, but it looks now like it will be in the year’s latter half.

The project—dubbed Arsenal Yards and long underway—is due to include 425 apartments in three buildings; 250,000 square feet of retail, including Roche Bros., a movie theater called the Majestic at Arsenal Yards, and Shake Shack; 200,000 square feet of office space; a 150-key Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton; and new green space.

That green space is expected to include greater and easier access to the nearby Charles River as well as bike and pedestrian paths. The renderings herein are courtesy of architect Prellwitz Chilinski Associates.

All parts of Arsenal Yards are expected to be finished by 2020. Stay tuned.
