Brighton development aims for H-shaped complex of market-rate, affordable units

1.65-acre site

Dinosaur Capital Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, wants to build an H-shaped complex on a 1.65-acre site in Brighton.

A six-story portion of the complex at 1550 Soldiers Field Road would include 211 market-rate apartments. The other half of the H would house 38 income-restricted condos at 21 Soldiers Field Place, per the Herald’s Donna Goodison.

A vacant warehouse and office building as well as a parking lot occupy the site right now.

Plans are still in flux and awaiting city approval. But the development would join quite a few proposed or popping up in Brighton right now, including a 115-unit apartment project at Washington Street and Corey Road and the redevelopment of the Circle Cinema site, which includes a 162-key Marriott aimed a millennials.
