10 Whales Beyond Boston! Think Versailles... and the Red Sox

View as Map

Almost exactly (don't you hate that phrase) a month ago we reveled in the amount of mega-listings in Boston. Now, as Whale Week 2013 concludes, we decided to turn our gaze beyond Boston proper, to the surrounding towns and cities, and take stock of their big-time price tags. What'd we find? Everything from the priciest listing in Somerville (a relatively modest $795,000) to a Milton estate modeled after a chateau at Versailles. Mon dieu.

CORRECTION: It does, our fault: the Balemore Estate.)
