We're continuing to spring forward, the oscillating temperatures be damned! Now batting: an updated map of bike paths around the region that don't require a car to get to them. All are T accessible, including by bus, or, you know, eminently bikable (zoom in on the map to see the nearby T stops). These include such pedestrian routes as along either side of the Charles River and the meandering Minuteman path as well as venues that you may not have thought of, including Deer Island and the mammoth Bay Circuit Trail. The island includes 2.6 miles of shoreline and two miles of pathways. You can actually bike to it through Winthrop as its name is a misnomer: It's really a peninsula.
