16 virtually free options

View as Map

'Tis that time of year again: ice-skating season. To speed you along your next bladed path, we have mapped 16 rinks in the Boston region that will be open by the end of November.

From Eastie to Waltham and Arlington to Hyde Park, the state- and city-owned rinks are free or close to it, but skate rentals and other incidentals will likely incur fees (though $5 appears to be the going rate for skates at most of these).

Also, check the websites or call the phone numbers contained herein to find hours.
