Boston rent comparisons: What $2,500/month gets along the Red Line

Including in Quincy, Dot, and Cambridge

The Red Line moves about 280,000 people every weekday, making it the T’s busiest subway or trolley line.

So how much does it cost to rent along this seemingly most essential of T routes? We took a look at nine options asking what for the Boston area is a pretty average amount: $2,500.

As one might expect, the farther out you get on the line, the more space you get for that monthly sum generally. The closer one travels to the Red Line’s mid-point around Park Street, the less space.
