Commonwealth Avenue Bridge repairs: Your guide to Pikepocalypse this summer

View as Map

Work surrounding the replacement of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge over the Massachusetts Turnpike will wreak particular havoc with traffic and public transit from Wednesday, July 26, to Monday, August 14 (and then a second round of work in the summer of 2018 will wreak some more).

Here is a map of the areas particularly affected. Suffice to say, congestion along the Mass. Pike will be worse than usual and the Green Line's B branch will be more of a hassle than normal.

You can find more information on the closures and times through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Also, not included on the map are detours of bus routes CT2 and 47 from 7 p.m. on July 27 to 5 a.m. on August 14.

Good luck. You've been warned.
