Weekend open house tour: the North End and its water views

With so many new condos going up around the city, it’s easy to forget some of Boston's more established buildings and areas. One such neighborhood steeped in history and historic buildings is the North End.

Before you write it off and look elsewhere, consider that the North End and the adjacent Waterfront is relatively more affordable than the South End and Seaport, respectively.

What does the North End have over its counterparts? Customized homes in an established neighborhood with proximity to the water's edge.

Some of the open houses this weekend offer the most dazzling views of the Harbor that can be found nowhere else (including from Charlestown's coastline a quick hop away). There’s also a charming home in a piazza right in the heart of the North End to round out this week’s tour.
