Beacon Hill may be smack dab in the middle of the modern city, but it's chock full of historic details and landmarks that will transport you back into the 19th century. That's because the neighborhood is protected by restrictive regulations that preserve the original Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian architecture styles. But you'll find more than brick row houses, especially with new kid on the block Winter Place Residences. Here's your chance to check out the building of the former Locke-Ober restaurant, at 137 years one of Boston's longest-operating restaurants. The restaurant shuttered its doors back in 2012, and since then tbe building has been renovated into multimillion-dollar homes.
