The ground remains unbroken on the five-building, solar-powered, apartment-office-and-retail mega-complex. Fenway Center, recall, was first proposed in 2007, and seemed a go as recently as this summer. Only the Yawkey Rail Station bit is under way.

Wowza! Three new residential buildings are slated to rise at the site of a five-level garage at the current Landmark Center, bringing 550 apartments and 110,000 more square feet of retail space. This space is set to include the city's first Wegmans.

The building will plunk 320 residential units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, atop a two-story retail base with restaurants.

The city in March O.K.'d 28 more apartments for this development, bringing the total number of units to 350. It will also include retail and 295 parking spaces; construction is under way.

Once slated to be condos, this 18-story tower is now to be 240 apartments with 105 parking spaces. That is, if it ever gets build. The tower's height has caused much consternation in the neighborhood, where existing zoning regs allow for only about 10 floors.

Construction is well under way on this 300-unit, two-tower complex with the city's first goddamn Target.

This building in the Fenway would not only have 30 apartments (all one-bedrooms) and underground parking, but a green roof accessible to tenants. Moreover! The developer wants to use the revenue from the building to fund its charity work. First, though, the groundbreaking this week.

The Apartments at 525 Huntington Avenue

Construction started this summer on this seven-story, 72-unit Wentworth Institute of Technology dorm.

Parcels 12 and 15

This two-tower complex would include 230 residences, 270 hotel rooms, and 50,000 square feet of retail. It involves one of the biggest air rights deals in recent Boston memory.

Marriott Residence Inn

This 175-room inn, which opened this summer, is the first new hotel in the area in decades. Rates start around $300 a night.

At least 32 of the 48 condos in this new development have already traded, most for around $600 a square foot (though a penthouse found a buyer at $944).
