It's hard to find more housing-stock diversity in Boston than in the South End. The area has transformed from gritty to sparking in recent decades. Pretty soon we'll need a new name for the northeast corner that encompasses the Ink Block and the soon-to-be converted Flower Exchange building. True to its roots, hip and modern condo buildings coexist throughout the South End with classic brick brownstones, which is all so classic Boston.
