Winter's icy (and apparently quite rainy) grip will start to loosen in about six weeks and thoughts will surely turn to outdoor activities. Such activities might include a bracing, prove-you're-not-a-couch-potato 5-kilometer race.

Where to find such 5Ks in the region? Look no further than this map of ones scheduled for March. We plan to update, so do let us know if we're missing one.

The description of the race carries this caveat: "You will begin the race with one donut and will encounter multiple donut pit stops throughout the entire race. See if you have the stomach to 'eat like a horse.'" Meet at the Saunders Recreational Area.
